Problem with the new date of Tech LAN November 2009 |
|
form member eosophobia will be getting married on November 14th, as he is a friend I will have not choice but to go support a friend on his wedding day, problem for that is that about 6~9 of us will be going to his wedding, is there any way possible to change the date of the LAN?
That 6~9 was going to the LAN.

Also, when did the date change? When I looked a month ago, it was the first saturday in November.
Either way, I'll probably end up going to the LAN, just because I haven't missed one yet. Sorry eoso!

My guess is that's around the time of open house or homecoming...not sure which. More than likely, the ballroom was booked. I think it was changed about a week ago.
I hate to see you guys miss the LAN. That'll be a big chunk of people missing.

He won't change the date of the wedding. However, if the date for techlan stands, i will be missing it as well. Sorry. :/

If possible, a later date would be appreciated.. Possibly a vote on a good date?

I'm unsure whether I'll be attending the LAN or not...granted I've not RSVP'd for the wedding, but I was invited as well. I'm still leaning toward LAN, and representing the missing in the tournaments I play in.

OK OK OK, you've woken el-presidenta with this one.......
The LAN was the 7th, however the ballroom was booked, so we moved to the 14th, now open house is the same weekend as the lan, but it probably wont be a problem.
Sorry guys but we cant change it this close to the event. The Lan is a great thing to attend, but a wedding sort of supersedes that, in theory a wedding is a once in a lifetime thing for you and your friends, we do the LAN at least 2 times a year. We'll have another big lan in the spring for charity, so go be a good friend and help your friends big day be great.
Sorry for the confusion and delays, to much class load this year... but I will promise the lan will be good, unless the network crashes on wvu's side.

Well, with that said. Hope to see you all at the next lan. I will be missing this one, due to Eoso's wedding being much more important. Have fun, and frag some noobs for me.

Is there anyone interested in practicing before the event on a pub server? Perhaps Thursday night?

you wanna use our servers, or did you have something else in mind?
McGuyver is the only one available from the net, meaning only one server at a time if it's ours.
