Guys, it's been an amazing year. Look at where we were a year ago, and look at where we are now. We all deserve to be proud of what we've done. Here's some of the ways I've noticed us growing:
1. Our events are becoming extremely sophisticated. When I saw the finished and ready-to-LAN ballroom, it was a real eye-opener. We've moved from trash bags to industrial plastic to keep light out. We've started using web based tournament tools. It's really changed from two years ago.
2. Our events are much more populated than they used to be. We also bought more food for this past than than we've ever done before, and it was pretty much gone by the time we were finished.
3. We've caught the interest of several outside groups, such as WVU Tech Admissions and Fox News. We really should be proud of that. How many LANs have you ever seen on the news? I can say one.
While we've become stronger in these areas, we still have a long way to go. There's plenty of things that we still need to strengthen. I'd discuss them here, but I'd rather not. We did well this year. Let's address all of that stuff next year.
To the staff, Community, and all of West Virginia and WVU Tech, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and wish you all good tidings next year.
Game hard! There's no limit to what LANville can achieve.
