Server Maintenance
Last updated on Saturday, March 3, 2007 - 6:18pm

As some of you have noticed, our site has been up and down the last couple of hours. Just to let everyone know, this was planned. Software upgrades had to be made to the CS server to keep it fast and secure. As far as we can tell, everything is back up and running. If you do notice something, please report it in the forums under "General Discussion" so that we may fix it. Thank you for your patience (except for those that spammed Kel with multiple IMs). : )

Final Announcement about TechLAN Jr.
Last updated on Monday, February 19, 2007 - 11:21pm

One more vital detail that I neglected to mention...the location of TechLAN Jr. It's not in the Tech Ballroom this time.

Event: TechLAN Jr.
Location: Engineering Lab 241
Date: February 24, 2007
Time: 12 pm - 12 am (maybe later if we're having fun!)
Admission: $5.00

We will also be selling TechLAN 2007 tickets for $8.00 instead of $10.00 (you save $2.00). We will have as much seating as possible (at least 40). If you have heavy equipment or cannot get up the steps, we can load stuff in the freight elevator.

New Feature: Photo Album
Last updated on Sunday, February 18, 2007 - 1:36am

You asked for it, then asked for it again. Finally, we remembered that you asked for it five months ago, but put it on the back-burner because we thought we'd get around to it sooner or later.

Alas, we now have a section on our site dedicated to the photos and images for our events. If you would like to upload a photo, simply link it in a forum post under "General LAN Discussion." As soon as one of our moderators sees the image, they will upload the image into our database. Enjoy!

Another Quick Note about TechLAN Jr.
Last updated on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 - 9:15am

TechLAN Jr. also serves as a fundraiser for the much larger events. While we do analyze our servers, we do play games the entire time much like our big events. Think of it as a LAN for Life or TechLAN event, but on a smaller scale. Tech students and friends of Tech students (with prior approval from a senior staff member) are welcome to come to the event. We can hold around 40, but we'll do our best to accommodate everyone that comes. We'll be playing the usual games: UT2004, CS:S, DoD:S, etc.

Date: February 24, 2007
Time: 12 pm - 12 am
Cost: $5 at door
