Tech Center and Available Parking
Last updated on Monday, October 30, 2006 - 9:33pm

We've added a map of where our events can be located on campus. It also displays nearby parking lots where you can park. Please note that you will be allowed to temporarily park your vehicle in front of the Tech Center to unload your equipment.

The map can be found at the bottom of the "Driving Directions" page on the left of this page under the "Links" menu.

L4L and XBL List
Last updated on Monday, October 16, 2006 - 5:38pm

In case you didn't know, LAN for Life is less than one month away. We will be posting flyers throughout the campus and area. If you can help out, please let Kel know. If you are playing or spectating at the event, please register now. Furthermore, if you are helping us out during the LAN, please register as well. Registration is used as a head count for food, prizes, etc. We will not spam you or anything like that. Contact information is only used for emergency purposes (i.e. the event has to be cancelled due to weather conditions). We may also use e-mail to notify you of an upcoming event.

Finally, some changes have come to the Xfire List. A majority of the players shown are now online only. Also, the Xbox Live List is now functioning. If you would like to add your account to the list, please leave a message in the forums.

Gfire 0.6.0 Released
Last updated on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 - 11:28am

The GAIM Xfire plugin that we've somewhat advertised in the forums before just received a major update. Gfire 0.6.0 was released a couple of days ago. If you're running Windows or Linux, you can now use this plugin with GAIM 2.0 beta3. You can now join games and show others what you are playing. It's a little tricky with Cedega, but it works.

Because of this, the development of our gaming script for Linux users will be put on hold for now. It appears that everything we were planning on coding works fine with this new program.

LANville.org

Good news! We have successfully deployed our plan to combat anymore outages. LANville.org is now up and running. You can still access the page the old way as our site still resides on the Tech CS server. However, whenever the Tech network experiences an outage, we are now able to re-route our traffic to a nice splash page letting everyone know what's going on with the site. We hope to bring some other services as well (i.e. e-mail, game servers). Woohoo!
